The CSA-FDV can be used as a Master Unit to connect to other Cig-Arrête products (when used with a CSA-DBD board module), such as other Smoke or Flame Slave detectors, power supply units, and Combined Sounder Beacons, or other external equipment. The CSA-FDV may be battery powered or may be connected to a power supply unit. The unique Cig-Arrête® detector will automatically sound a prerecorded warning whenever the flame from a match or lighter is detected, thereby helping to prevent illicit smoking on your premises and providing a visual and audible re-enforcement of your commitment to creating a smoke-free environment. Typical applications include open areas, building entry/exit points. The module will detect a 25mm flame from a match or lighter at 6metres within 1 second and automatically sound a pre-recorded voice message. It is easily installed and very effective. The module requires the insertion of 4 x AA size batteries or alternatively 1 x 9V 6LR61 battery. The module is fixed to the ceiling of the area to be protected by 2 screws and quite simply monitors the environment from this point on. Fitted in minutes it can provide a simple solution to policing smoking hotspots.
When installed as part of a Cig-Arrête system, the CSA-FDV can be combined with Slave units (CSA-SGA / CSA-FUV).
